A message from John

In the last month we had a bit of a rollercoaster ride with Dad being taken very seriously ill. During that time we were completely overwhelmed by the love, thoughts, prayers and energy given by friends and my brilliant and loving Family. I had a real dilemma about using facebook etc. On the one hand it can be used so trivially for some absolute crap, but on the other hand I felt it was the only way to keep so many important and close people updated and it really worked. This was the good side to social media.

We received so many lovely wishes and I could read them to dad..and just over two weeks ago, he woke up and has made a miracle recovery & I don't use the word miracle lightly. No one can really explain how dad has made such a strong & quick recovery from where he was a month ago. Except that is to say; dads own strength and will power to fight, the great care and skill of the brilliant nurses and doctors in ITU at St Helliers Hospital & those positive vibes, wishes, messages and prayers from so many of you.

So simply and with all my heart THANK YOU. I have the biggest reasons to be cheerful, my family and friends xx
